Surya Dev Idol

Description

Significance and Astrological Perspective of Ashtadhatu Surya Dev Idol

In Sanatan tradition, astrology, and Vastu Shastra, an idol or symbol of Lord Surya made of Ashtadhatu (an alloy of eight sacred metals: gold, silver, copper, zinc, lead, tin, iron, and mercury) holds a very special place. Lord Surya is a visible deity (Pratyaksha Devta), and the metallic energy of Ashtadhatu further enhances the intensity of his radiance.

Key Significance and Spiritual Benefits:

Health and Physical Energy: In astrology, Sun is considered the significator of Arogya (good health). Beholding and worshipping the Ashtadhatu Surya idol infuses positive energy into the body and provides relief from serious ailments and unexplainable fatigue.

Confidence and Leadership Abilities: The planet Sun symbolizes the soul and willpower. Regular worship of this idol enhances self-confidence, courage, decision-making ability, and administrative/leadership skills.

Fame, Reputation, and Status: Worshipping Ashtadhatu Surya Dev is considered highly beneficial for gaining respect, fame, and high positions in job, career, business, and society.

Rectification of Vastu Defects and Negativity: If there is a lack of sunlight or any Vastu defect at home or in the workplace, installing an Ashtadhatu Surya symbol destroys negative vibrations and boosts the flow of positive energy.

Guidelines for Placement and Worship:

Correct Direction: Place the idol or wall-hanging symbol on the East wall of your home, office, or shop, or in the eastern section of your temple.

Day and Time: Installing it at sunrise on a Sunday is considered most auspicious.

Simple Worship Method: Keep a copper pot filled with water in front of the idol, offer red sandalwood and red flowers, and chant the mantra “Om Ghrinih Suryaya Namah”.
